Frequently Asked Questions.

  • Gallardo Homes currently builds new-construction communities in Washington and Oregon, including Chinook Winds in Tieton, WA and their newest community, Summit Ridge in Pendelton, Oregon. We focus on thoughtfully planned neighborhoods with multiple floor plans, modern finishes, and available upgrades.

  • Some communities may have an HOA with guidelines for landscaping, exterior changes, and community standards. Speak with an agent for more information.

  • In active communities, we often have model or staged homes available to tour so you can experience the floor plans in person. The Maxey Home Team can let you know which homes are open and help schedule a private showing.

  • Many of our plans offer a mix of included standard features and optional upgrades, such as flooring, cabinet finishes, countertops, and more. Speak with an agent to request available upgrade options for the specific home or lot you’re interested in.

Community & Builder

  • Gallardo Homes partners with The Fornerette Team for mortgage pre-approvals. They specialize in new-construction lending and can help you understand what you qualify for, what your monthly payment may look like, and which loan programs fit your needs.

  • Pre-approval gives you a clear price range, helps you shop confidently, and shows that you’re a serious buyer when you write an offer. National builders and lenders highlight pre-approval as a key first step in the homebuying process because it sets realistic expectations and can streamline closing. Speak with a Loan Officer to learn more.

  • In some communities—like Chinook Winds—we’ve offered buyer bonuses (such as a $10,000 buyer credit) when buyers use the preferred lender and meet program guidelines. Incentives can change over time, so ask The Maxey Home Team or The Fornerette Team about current offers for the community you’re interested in.

  • Most buyers use Conventional, FHA, or VA for financing, depending on eligibility and the property. The Fornerette Team can review options, whether a down payment is required, and estimated closing costs based on your specific situation. Speak with a Loan Officer to learn more.

  • Down payments vary by loan type—some programs allow as little as 0–3.5% down for qualified buyers, though it will vary depending on personal factors. Speak with a Loan Officer to learn more about down payment options and closing cost fees.

Financing

Homebuying Process

  • While each buyer’s journey is unique, the general steps are:

    1. Speak with The Fornerette Team for pre-approval

    2. Tour available homes and floor plans with The Maxey Home Team

    3. Choose your lot and plan or choose an available home

    4. Write a purchase and sale agreement

    5. Finalize financing and any selections

    6. Complete inspections and walkthroughs

    7. Close and receive your keys

  • Depending on the stage of construction, you may be able to choose certain finishes—such as flooring, countertops, appliances, or paint colors—within the available upgrade packages for that plan. If the home is already under construction or move-in ready, selections may be limited or already set. Learn more.

  • Timelines vary by community, plan, and construction status. Available, move-in ready homes can often close in a standard 30–45-day window once financing is approved. Homes that are just starting construction will take longer. Speak with an Agent or Loan Officer to learn more.

  • Yes. We cooperate with licensed real estate professionals. The Maxey Home Team is our primary partner and is very familiar with Gallardo floor plans, standard features, and community details, but you may also involve your own agent if you choose.

  • New homes are built to current codes and go through municipal inspections, but many buyers still choose an independent home inspection for additional peace of mind. This is consistent with recommendations from major homebuilders and buyer guides. Speak with an Agent to learn more.
